iphone camera issue

My young daughter was using an iPhone 6s and was having issues with the camera. For both screenshots and photos, the camera was recording photos as a different coloured image (almost like a thermal image). So we just got her a new iPhone 11 pro and did the data and settings transfer. Now the same issue on the (brand new) 11 pro. She is distraught as she thought it was a problem with the old phone.
