Apple Watch Series 6 Activity Rings Stopped.

Good Morning,

Yesterday I noticed only two of my activity rings had moved and the exercise was at zero as though it had never been used.

I also use a pedometer app (Steps) which has stopped recording daily steps.

On the iPhone I have re-enabled fitness tracking, privacy, motion, fitness per manual guidance and no luck.

I have also power cycled on/off both devices.

It appears that this is a phone issue (motion?) but I am stuck and looking for any suggestions.

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

Thank you for the guidance.

I had already tried the restart with no luck so I will move on to the pairing process and hope for the best.

Thank you for your help as well as all of those here in Communities that give their time and knowledge freely.
