Sonos Move/airplay Password

I don’t have an airplay password set up. When I try to connect Sonos Move to HomeKit it asks for the airplay password.

THERE ISN’T ONE SET UP! I also have the airplay set to everyone and I’ve tried anyone on this network too, to not avail.

I've tried all my known Apple passwords and it still won’t connect my speaker to HomeKit!

Please help!

Hello internaltemps,

Thanks for reaching out to us in Apple Support Communities about being asked for an AirPlay passcode when attempting to connect to you Sonos, we're happy to help by looking into this more!

This sounds like a passcode that Sonos has enabled on their device to prevent unwanted people from connecting to the device. The following support article provides some troubleshooting steps to help:

Airplay password prompt | Sonos Community

If you still have issues connecting, and there is nothing about the passcode in the documentation what was included with your Sonos, reach out directly to Sonos to see if they can help locate the passcode:

Contact Us | Sonos

Hope this helps.

Best Regards.

It was a glitch in the HomeKit app. Thanks for all the help. I just reset my Sonos after removing it from HomeKit, then re-added it.

it was asking for an Airplay password. That means it’s HomeKit that is asking for it. It wasn’t asking for the Sonos password. None of my Apple passwords were working at all. It’s fixed now though!!!

thanks for the effort!
