Why won’t my iMessages deliver to me once I turn my phone off of airplane mode?

Apple iMessage not showing delivered Hi. I've been texting someone in the Middle East (currently deployed) and as of suddenly my iMessages are not showing "delivered". Was I blocked? Or is it possible its a network problem? I know they were online otherwise on other platforms using mobile so I'd think its not the phone thats off? I tried sending SMS but all it said was "sent as text message"

I didn’t receive any missing imessages after being off grid for few days. Last few days i went to camping with no service and my iphone was in airplane mode. upon returning to the city, i hasn’t gotten any single imessage from last few days. i even had waited few hours but it still haven’t show up.

Why isn’t my iMessages operating I’m not getting any of my iMessages transmitted to my text messages.

They should once you are either connected to WiFi or cell data but it may take a few minutes.
