My Iphone 7 is 128 gb but new iphone 11 max pro is 64 gb. Will this cause issues transferring data if I haven't used but 47 gb on my 128 gb but Icloud storage has 100 gb used?

Will I have issues transferring data phone to phone direct when my iphone 7 has 128 gb and my new iphone 11 only has 64 gb? Even though I haven't used all of the 128 and not up to the 64 gb yet. My phone 7 is at 44.7 gb used of 128 gb and my icloud is 43.2 GB used of 50 GB.

iPhone 7, iOS 14

Hello HolyWater,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have a question about transferring data over to a new iPhone. We're happy to help.

If you're currently not using the total amount of storage, the transfer should be fine. Keep in mind the OS and formatting will take up some space as well. If needed, details can be found here: How iOS and macOS report storage capacity and you can clear additional storage with the steps here: How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

However, the following are some ways additional to the article you started the post from, to transfer your data over easily:

Use Quick Start to transfer data to a new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Use iCloud to transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Move from your current iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a lower capacity device

Best!
