Play and Pause not working on Apple 4K TV

My pause and play have stopped working on my Apple TV. I have tried all of the recommended fixes, restart, reset and change the audio, nothing works. I think Apple has lost their way, I have two of there ****** touchpad remotes and now this. This might be the final straw for their buggy equipment.

I looked up the issue and anything about a play button issue dates back to 2020 and the solution suggested on those posts is to change audio format to stereo this however does not fix the issue for me. has anyone had this problem or know of a possible solution please?

Apple TV pause issue I had updated my Apple TV 4K ( old one, with the black remote ) to tv os 17 and then after that whenever I try to pause any video that uses the Apple TV player, like in prime video, the video doesn’t pause but just mutes and the video keeps on playing. Someone please help on how to fix this issue.

Play/pause controls stop working I seem to have a strange bug that’s only started in the last month or so… the play and pause function just stops working. Seems to be across all apps, and on the remote, the iPhone control centre remote, and on my TV remote over HDMI. So it seems to be a software issue, only recently, and resolves when I restart the Apple TV… until it breaks again a few days later. might just be me, but interested if anyone else is having this with the newest ATV… I should say all the other buttons work on the remote…

Please unplug from power for 2-3 minutes an retest. Failing that, contact AppleCare.
