I just bought a 2021 Macbookpro with Big Sur. My wife is using an older MacBook Pro also with Big Sur (my old computer of course). She moved from an older MBP. In the process her (new) computer lost our synced notes. How do I get the complete set of notes on my MBP to hers? How do we make sure they are synced afterwards?

Notes are attached to only one Apple ID. So, the notes should follow the owner automatically provided you have the notes sync with iCloud. If you had shared notes, the share should still exist with whomever the note was shared. This information may help: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206987
Notes should be automatically synced to all Macs using the same Apple ID.
If you previously shared the same Apple ID, I guess you could login with that ID, copy the Notes to Text Edit, then login with the new ID and paste the notes there.
thank you for the quick reply. Reading the doc you recommended it looks like my wife will not be able to use here apple id. Now the question is whether she can use my id and her name for the computer. I'll play with it tonight and report back.
Does that mean that my wife cannot use her apple id? And if so, can she give any name to her computer?
