Older iPad compatibility with current YouTube Kids

Looking to replace an old iPad with the cheapest option possible since it’s only for my 3 and 7 year olds. What is the oldest generation of iPad that will run the current version of YouTube Kids? It says it requires 12.0 or higher. Would a 5th gen work?
