How to discontinue parental controls

I previously placed some parental controls on my son’s phone. I need to remove them; there are some Apps that he needs but can’t access. I don’t remember how the controls were placed.

FYI, (The original phone broke, and he got another phone using AppleCare.) I don’t know if that matters.

I need help figuring this out.
