My phone makes a warbling sound whenever I speak on phone calls

My phone recently started making a warbling glitchy sound whenever I speak on a call, and it makes it impossible for the other person to hear me. We both have iphones and the same thing is happening to her. We’ve tried restarting our phones. This isn’t the first time this had happened either. This is really annoying.
