Battery losing charge while plugged in (and fully charged)

Why is it that every once in a while, macOS 10.15.7 will say that my battery falls below 100% while plugged in (and charged up to 100%)?

I've also noticed that when macOS says my battery is at 100%, coconutbattery will say something different. Is that due to the battery discrepancies that I've noticed once in a while?

Here's an example of what I'm referring to. The battery icon on the left is coconutbattery, while the other one is macOS 10.15.7. This was taken while I was writing this post.

I can not speak to third party compatibility or reliability...

If you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on battery power.
