Poor video resolution on front camera on iPad Pro 12.9” 5th Generation (2021)

The resolution on the front camera for video calls is exceptionally poor in comparison with older iPads and iPhones despite the so called camera upgrade on this model.

I have also discovered that the video image pulsates when the Apple Folio cover for the 12.9” iPad Pro 5th Gen is folded right back on itself therefore covering and protecting the whole of the back of the iPad.

The only way to stop this unstable video image on the front facing camera is to fold back enough of the cover to expose the rear camera lenses! What is going on here?

I have not experienced this problem on previous iPads and it is not what I expected to find on such an expensive product so I expect Apple to find a resolution to this.

Whilst the front camera has a higher pixel count than many other iPad models, the ultra-wide camera lens reduces the effective resolution. Whilst the ultra wide front camera mimics pan and zoom, using the new Centre Stage function, the image quality of the digitally cropped picture will suffer.

As for your other observations, these are a new complaint.
