alexa app Error. Please try again

I use the Amazon Alexa App on my iPhone 8. Until recently it was working just fine, but now I get a less than helpful "Error Please try again" when I launch the app. I just went to the app store and Updated to the latest version, but it is still happening. I tried to delete the app so I could reload it, but it is now not on a screen, but if I search for it it is still there.


I'm sure Amazon will say it is Apple's fault, and Apple will say it is Amazon's fault. I just want it to work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Delete the app entirely, restart the iPhone, and re-download the app.


If that fails—and whichever group might be at fault here—the group that is maintaining the app that is directly involved here is Amazon, which means that Amazon gets to sort out the issue within the app, or the issue between the app and Apple, and Amazon support likely most familiar with the issues with Amazon apps.


Or the shorter version: Amazon is ‘on point” for resolving this. Contact Amazon.
