Apple Music only playing 20 songs for playlists or artists

I have playlists with over 100s of songs on my Library. When I click on Shuffle, it's only playing 20 songs from the playlist. Same thing happens if I go to an Artist and click on the Shuffle icon next to their name.

Before upgrading to Big Sur, clicking on Shuffle would play all the songs in the playlist, or all the songs I have for that artist.

This is happening on macOS Big Sur 11.4 with Apple Music version 1.1.5.74

Has someone seen this? Seems like a bug to me.

We are happy to help with the issue you are having with your playlist only shuffling 20 songs. Where does your music come from? Are you an Apple Music subscriber? Can you test this in a second playlist? Can you test the same playlist from a different device?

You might want to check to see if you have "Repeat" selected. Check out Shuffle or repeat songs in Music on Mac.

Even I am facing same issue recently in MacOs 11.4 with with Apple Music version 1.1.5.74.

The only solution I figured out was , Click on "Show in Apple Music" it works fine its like refresh button 😅
