According to the guide, date functions such as Now and Today are supposed to be updated whenever the sheet is opened, but on my sheet, these formulas are not updated. How can this be fixed?

For what it's worth. I am able to open a sheet in numbers and the NOW function recalculates. I haven't tried it with an excel file converted to numbers, but it seems to work.
So interesting. I closed the app and reopened it and it still showed the old date. Only if I replace the cell with a “new” even if the same function, will it update. Something’s definitely wrong here. Seems like I’ve found a bug.
I was looking for a solution that doesn’t require me to continually force a recalculation. I was hoping that it would just be right. Perhaps some kind of macro that runs every eight hours???
Thanks you for your answer. However, it has not solved the problem. My spreadsheet was imported from excel where it worked for many years. The functions are the same, but it doesn’t work in Numbers. I believe it may have something to do with the fact that I don’t “close” the spreadsheet and because of this it doesn’t need “opening” in order to recalculate. How do I force it to recalculate without “opening” the sheet?
