Backlit pop up unprompted

Hello. I’m having a problem right now where this pops up and goes all the way max and cannot even be lowered. Pressing F5 makes the pop up fade away but I noticed that pressing Spacebar, letters Y, H, N and number 6 seems to trigger it. Lowering the level/brightness (F5) doesn’t work either as it will go back up to being max. This only started today and it is very distracting. I tried booting to safe mode but backlit keyboard is disabled entirely so I am not sure if it’s software or hardware related.

My thoughts too but just now i realized just now that holding shift while pressing the keys: 6, Y, H, N, and Spacebar does not trigger it, which makes me wonder if its also software related? I tried holding shift and pressed F5/F6 but it adjusted the level as usual. Could it be a little bug is inside the laptop? Sometimes it triggers but sometimes it doesn't. As I was typing this, i was squishing all keys but surprisingly it went away... but moved to other keys outside 6,Y,H,N and Spacebar but it only triggered once. I stopped showing the pop-up at this time and the backlit keyboard can now be adjusted fine with F5 and F6. Weird.
