Can anyone tell my why Apple Books continues to sort their list of authors by FIRST name? This is so illogical to me as all libraries sort their books by author's last name.
Does anyone have a solution?

We are fellow users, so cannot explain the Apple Books product team's choice of Authors sorted by first name. There does not appear to be another sorting choice. From the Books application menu, select the Provide Books Feedback that will go directly to the product team.
Are these ebooks, audiobooks or pdfs?
Can you post us a screenshot of the books in list view showing the author's name column?
When I rip audio books to add to my book library I list the author by last name, first name.
If the author's name is included as first name, last name there's nothing you can do. If you have the opportunity to enter the author's name during import then do so as last name, first name.
