MacBook PRO M1 - Keyboard backlight is dimmer on the right side

Has anybody had this problem, my device is fairly new, its not even been a year since i have it. This problem just showed, i know because i have some older photos of the same laptop. Im attaching a photo so you can see it. This photo is taken in complete darkness, in light you cant even see that rightside backlight.

You can’t reset the SMC— equivalent Shut down, close the lid 30 secs+ , reboot as normal—because the M1 Mac doesn’t have a System Management Controller. You can’t manually reset the NVRAM / PRAM because your Mac does this automatically, if needed, during every startup or reboot.

Apple has integrated everything in the new chip, including technologies like a neural processor (NPU) and memory in one single package. This is how Apple managed to increase processing power and maximize energy efficiency

My only suggestion —get on record your issue before you are out of warranty, if it turns out to be hardware issue...

Since the M1 macs have no SMC the best you can try is a Safeboot , then simply reboot as normal an see if your issue is resolved. ref: SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

If not... I would expect you have a hardware issue—
