Can't Delete Migration Assistant Account in Big Sur

I recently upgraded my MacPro to a slightly bigger model--both Mac's have Big Sur 14.4 on them. Using Migration Assistant all the programs and data were transferred from the old Mac's Timemachine backup to the new machine. But there were problems....first of all none of the apps transferred by Timemachine would run--MacOS informed me I did NOT have permission to run the apps--not any of the imported ones. This was solved by re-installing all the apps. I'm left the remaining problem of what appears to be of having the extra Migration Assistant user unable to be deleted. There is only one user on this Mac but the Finder shows two Users: "mymacpro" and also "mymacpro_1" . This second user "mymacpro_1" --- I assume --- was created by Migration Assistant. Some apps are apparently using "mymacpro_1" while others are using "mymacpro" and this is creating new problems. I cannot delete the "mymacpro_1" even as a superuser. Everything I need seems to be there on "mymacpro" so I need delete the "mymacpro_1" user, but how? Of course this extra user does NOT show up in System Preferences >-Users/Groups. Any help would sure be appreciated.
