In case of theft or misappropriation of your Mac, FileVault encryption makes it nigh impossible for your files to be accessed by anyone who does not possess the password, including YOU if you should forget the password.

Thanks! If I am the only one that uses this mac do I really need FileVault? It is now turned OFF.
