My I Mac keeps showing Chinese characters even if I selected English!

Hi everyone and I hope you are doing well!

I got this IMac from the IStore (it was a display one) and when I got it, there were problems with the Chinese characters (which I do not understand at all!). The pc was reset BUT it still gives me issues. Siri was in Chinese (I managed to change it) and the whole pc is in English now. However when I work on Wordpress in Elementor, the icons and the language of Elementor menu is in Chinese!!! How do I change that? I don't speak Chinese and it is driving me mad! The rest of the computer seems fine...

Hello, suschir.

Please navigate to System Preferences > Language > General tab and ensure that English is selected as the Preferred language in the pane on the left side of that window. If it is not, then click the add (+) button below it and select your preferred system language to add it.

Also, you can check whether a particular app is assigned to use another language by clicking the Apps tab there. Then click the add (+) button at the lower-left. A pop up window will appear to allow you to select an app, it will display the app's default language and allow you to designate an alternate language to use for the app if you wish.

The Apps tab is next to the General tab in the System Preferences > Language & Region panel.

The language is set up correctly, however I can't find the second part of your suggestion (Apps tab). Sorry I am new to Mac. In the System Preferences I can't see "App Tab"

I do not have the tab of the apps! I was in the right place, I do not have that. Is that possible because I have no apps on the pc?
