Microsoft word latest version
After an upgrade of Office 365 the background and text in Word has changed from black on white to white on black. Does anyone know how to change this back?

On a Mc, you can change this by modifying Preferences. Under Authoring and Proofing Tools, click on General, and under Personalize change the option to"Dark Mode has a white page color." See screenshot attached.

I would start with Word's Preference panel… or contact Microsoft.
What is the "Dark Mode" Setting in Word preferences showing? This is from Office 2019 and should be the same is Office 365:

This does not solve the problem. It is the background of the document itself that is black, not like in dark mode.

I have tried the preferences, but no luck. And I can't find anywhere on the Microsoft page which is of any help.
As mentioned you will likely have more success reaching out to a Microsoft Office for Mac forum. This is an iMac forum.
