Hello Chris,

So yes still happens and it happens for quite some time. I tried restarting; disabling hardware acceleration in slack and Chrome.

I ve monitored my cpu and gpu temperatures and they around 70 deg celsius so no prob there. It does not seem to start exactly when i start a call but can take several minutes to kick in. It also happens on screen sharing ( when either myself or the other person screen shares his screen'. Again it seems to happen only when online calling with video or screensharing no matter what i use; zoom, slack, google meet ( this is weird ).

Thanks and have a cool day

Laurence

Hello enache227,

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, your Mac is running slowly when video calling. We can understand why you'd reach out for a solution.

Does this continue after performing a full restart?

Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac

If so, let's try following the steps outlined here.

If your Mac runs slowly

Cheers!
