Notes interface badly broken on Firefox

Viewing Apple Notes on Firefox is unusable. Although notes display ok,

• search takes forever, and frequently fails to find things I can find just fine in the native app.
• font changes such as selecting a word or phrase to make italic, simply do nothing. But if you click around and do it again, *sometimes* it will work, then stop again.
• There seems to be no way to delete a note (no menu command, no pop-up menu, no backspace or command-backspace,...). Not even deleting all the text.
• ...

Some of this works on Chrome. Some of us have to use a Windows box and/or Firefox for work, and making it impossible to deal with Notes is not helpful.
