Unable to add a New Gmail Account to Mac Air running High Sierra 10.13..6

No, but strongly suspect it is something on my Mac air preventing access.

I do not actually get to the point where it creates the new gmail account.

It simply stops in its tracks after selecting the apps you wish to activate (Calendar,Notes etc.)

I Have actually turned the App Password / 2 Factor Authentication on, but this has had no effect, as I say it never gets to the point of creating the gmail account on my Mac Mail.

Only thing I can think of is turning the Firewall off, but my existing gmail accounts work fine, just will not let me create a new one?

I turned the real time scanning on the Virus - off

Likewise the Protection on the Netbarrier - also switched off.

I also turned the Apple Mac firewall off as well.

Still no lock, I thought it may have been.

Just to let you know I was able to create a poor version of the email account by choosing 'Other', instead of gmail, earlier, but deleted it afterwards.

Yeah, would seem so, I believe it is Google themselves who are preventing the creation of the new gmail account on my Mac Air

Unfortunately I cannot find any means of contacting them

I do have a VPN installed but am NOT connected.

Have NetBarrier and NetVirus, also

Just did appear to be a proper full gmail account like the others.

The fact it works on my iPhone also points to something on my own Mac.
