What if the serial numbers on my AirPods don’t match the serial number for these on my phone?
My phone shows AirPods Serial Number as CC****MMT but my actual device shows GK****X2Y

Based on the information you have shared sounds like you're seeing two different serial numbers. Have you checked the serial number on the inside of the lid of your AirPods to check whether they match one of the serial numbers you are seeing?
