AppleID

I need to remove my ex's AppleID from my MacBook. I do not have the information and I cannot get it.

Since you don't have the information to remove the ID, you will have to erase the hard drive, reinstall the OS, and set the computer up as a new computer. Start with step 6.

When I wiped the computer it still remembers my ex-husband appleid for updating software. When I wiped the computer it still remembers my ex-husband's appleid for updating software. Yet all software was purchased under my appleid and it won't let me change it. He doesn't have the slightest idea what his old password was and he never bought anything on iTunes with it. Replace old Apple ID I used an old email address when I first purchased my MacBook and since I closed it and created a new appleid. I keep getting the request to sign in with my old email address. I no longer have the password associated with the old appleid. How can I remove it?
