Just bought a new 2021 RAV4. When using Google Maps on carplay I cannot change the navigation volume. I try to change it when she is speaking but it lowers my audio instead of navigation.
I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. iOS 14.7
i tried asking the dealership when my plates came in but there were no help.

Got it! Is your iPhone connected to CarPlay using Bluetooth or the USB cable? Also, are you able to play other audio from the iPhone, such as songs or podcasts, without issue? This will help us isolate the problem a little more.

I’m connected to CarPlay using a USB. I tried disconnecting my Bluetooth but had the same issue. I have no audio issues when listening to my music (from Apple) or music from Amazon. I don’t really listen to podcast.
Yes I can hear navigation when unplugged from car. When I rent vehicles and use CarPlay through a USB I do not have this issue - I am able to adjust the audio and navigation volume separately. I have not rented a RAV4 before though.
Yes it happens with Apple Maps too.
