Force sync iCloud for Windows

I need a way to force sync the iCloud Files in the Explorer in Windows that doesn't involve loggin in and out. If there is none, i will just access my Files through iCloud.com, since this is way more reliable and never out of sync.

Files missing from certain folders in my icloud backup as well as my macBook. Some of the folders backed up to my icloud drive are now empty both on multiple computers as well as in the icloud. Cant tell how or why this happened but I need to get these files back. From reading this forum this seemed to have happened to others also and i have seen comments by people who managed to get their files back after similar problems but not clear how they did it.
