I thought that any movie re-released on physical 4K disc would be available on iTunes but it appears not - does anyone know why ?
Recent examples are True Romance , Looper , Ran and Dead and Buried .
iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 14
My version of Ran was automatically upgraded to 4K. However, the image does not appear at all on my Apple 4K TV or Roku 4K. It plays on my iPhone and my MacBook. I contacted support and they were unable to solve the problem. I own Looper in HD, but even though it's currently available from iTunes in 4K (at least that's what it shows in my TV app), my copy was not upgraded. I'm not sure if this helps.
