Photos not recognizing icloud storage increase

I was uploading photos to icloud but ran out of storage. I clicked the link "manage" and purchased a larger GB plan to more than accommodate the images I wanted to upload. However, the "Photos" app is not refreshing to reflect the new increased icloud storage plan and still states, "not enough iCloud storage", and not uploading any more.

Hi

Try the following one at a time - see if any of them fix the issue (Don't do later ones if fixed by an earlier one):

1 - Restart your Mac

2 - Restart your Mac in safe mode

3 - Turn off iCloud photos in iCloud prefernces, restart your mac, then turn it on again.

4 - Sign out of your apple ID on your mac, restart and sign in again. Don't do this unless you are certain you know your username/password, and have access to your two factor authentication device if used. If you are not certain, try signing in at icloud.com to check

The second two will restart the sync process from the beginning, but your library is not large, so it should not take too much time.
