can't print photos

All of the sudden I am having trouble printing pictures from my Macbook. I keep getting an error message saying something about needing internet for larger images but the images are small (I thought. I want to print them wallet size) and it is connected to the internet.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.4

It appears that you might have iCloud Library enabled along with "Optimize Mac Storage". The photo you're trying to print is only an optimized version of it and you need to download the full version from the iCloud.

Try editing the photo or exporting the unmodified original to the Desktop which should force the download of the full sized photo from the iCloud Library.
