My Mac will not let me drag a photo to the desk top. My Photos and Mail have not worked well since the lastest downloads 12.2.1. Help

My question is listed above. I cannot drag a photo to my desktop. I am having trouble printing certain photos also. When I try to print it says I am downloading. This only has happened since getting the new program Infuriating.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.2
