I noticed that Dolby atmos was working fine while connected through Bluetooth and headphone on my iPhone. However after os update, Dolby is not planning despite switching always on mode. While switching to normal speaker, it works.Pls help

I had the same issue. I contacted Apple, try accessing the Control Centre when you have your headphones connected and long pressing the volume control and make sure Spacial Audio is enabled.

Is this music downloaded or being streamed? If being streamed, does downloading it change anything? And vice versa, if downloaded does attempting to stream it change anything?
Are we working with iOS 14.7 on your iPhone? If not, please be sure to install that update after making a backup. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If we are, let’s also restart your iPhone, if you haven’t since noticing the situtation, to refresh everything. Restart your iPhone

We appreciate you taking the time to test downloading and streaming, updating to iOS 14.7 and using the EarPods that came with your iPhone. All that is helpful.
Next, let's set Dolby Atmos to off, force close the Music app, then launch it and enable Dolby Atmos again. Then test using your EarPods once more. Does that badge appear? Also, despite the badge missing, are you hearing the song in Dolby Atmos.

I use the Devialet Gemini. But the headphones / earphones doesn’t matter. With iOS 14.6 dolby atmos works very well. With 14.7 dolby is gone in bluetooth.
it seems it’s this fix which cause the issue : « Dolby Atmos and Apple Music lossless audio playback may unexpectedly stop »
this fix has certainly drop dolby for Bluetooth.

When you ply the song just through your phone (assuming it’s a newer model that supports the feature) does it show as playing in Dolby?
So I fixed the issue! I just came to the Apple store and connect AirPods max while connecting wired earphones. And just turn on Dolby atmos for always.
I have the same issue. In bluetooth, Dolby Atmos no longer working. No matter what settings I use.
The problem comes from the 14.7 update. (I’m on ios 14.7.1 and the issue is still there).
Thanks for the answer. I tried all the methods suggested by you but still Dolby atmos is not showing on the play cover. I also restarted the phone but not of use. The problem is only with Dolby atmos enabled songs, rest other formats are playing fine. Dolby atmos is available only through phone’s speakers and not from Bluetooth or through wired headphone as supplied along with IPhone XR. Please suggest. I have another android device and I can see Dolby atmos is being played through all devices be it headphone or Bluetooth.

Hi less, I did try both the option provided by you. I forced closed the application, rather I uninstalled and downloaded again but the Dolby badge is not available. So far sound quality is concerned, While switching from off to automatic/ always on, I did notice difference in sound but I found it to deteriorate rather being better.
pls suggest of this is a noted concern for me or in general. Pls provide a fix for this.
It's an iPhone 11 Pro. Yes, if I use the built in speaker, the dolby atmos logo is displayed.
