"Skype wants to export key. . ." popup

As was covered in an earlier thread (without a solution, it seems), I and others get a popup saying that Skype wants to export a key of sorts, have information from my account, including info regarding my keychain, my log-in password. Although others apparently began getting this message repeatedly a while ago, for me, it started only today. It asks the person getting it to allow or deny the insistent request I choose "Deny"), and one has to do it several times in several repetitions of the popup window before it disappears – but only for a while.

I can't give up using Skype, and although one suggestion in the Apple Communities was to revert to a MUCH earlier version of Skype, there was no explanation for why that would help, nor did anyone confirm that it worked. Microsoft confirmed to various people who had already explained the problem, (though not to me), that they knew about it and were working on it. That confirmation for MS was sent to another sufferer months or more ago, and there has been no indication that they actually had discovered or applied a solution. Clearly, if they have, it isn't working, because the problem started plaguing me, at short intervals, today. Does anyone know what to do? Thanks very much.

A couple of suggestions...

The free Malwarebytes may take care of it...

See if you have unknown Profiles.

To remove a configuration profile in macOS:

  1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences....
  2. From the View menu in System Preferences, select Profiles.Note:
  3. Profiles won't be visible until you have at least one profile installed.
  4. Select the profile you want to remove, and then press the - (minus) button. Click Remove to remove the profile.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

EtreCheck is a FREE simple little diagnostic tool to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac. It will not display any personal info.

Pastebin is a good place to paste the whole report if you capture the URL while there…

https://pastebin.com/

Whew, they've changed pastebin & made it harder, but after pasting in, click Create new paste button, then Embed button, then copy the URL...

<script src="https://pastebin.com/embed_js/KuvnghqA"></script>

The important part of the above is between the quote marks...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...
