iPhone 12 silicone case

Hi, I recently bought an IPhone 12 silicone case for my iPhone and it looks really nice, however not even two days later the case started getting a black smudge and it makes my phone look dirty. I don’t know how to remove it or the best way to clean it. If I put it in water will the magnet of the case be ruined?? I don’t know pls help?

Phone case stained after less than 24 hours i bought an otter box lumen series phone case for $79.95. It’s bright orange around the sides and clear on the back. In less than a day of using it I noticed the orange part on the sides had gone black. I tried cleaning it with warm soapy water but it wouldn’t come off. I immediately put it back in its box and I’m wondering if I can return it since I am very unhappy with the product after only using it for a day.
