My Apple TV does not connect to the wifi

My Apple TV (3rd gen) doesn’t connect to the wifi so I used Ethernet, it shows that it’s connected however I can’t login to the wifi as it says it can’t connect to apple and hence I cannot update or reset it without logging in

  1. Please unplug your modem from it's power source for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Do the same with your router
  3. Do the same with your Apple TV, disconnect Ethernet cable from ATV
  4. Next reconnect to power in the same order and then wait about 10 minutes, connect using wifi
