Numbers ver 11.1

In Numbers I have 2 adjacent columns of data that I frequently delete. I want to simply highlight the 2 columns and press delete WITHOUT deleting the header labels. Freezing header doesn't prevent this, and writing a script is too daunting. If numbers supported 'macros' I could simply record the 2-3 key strokes

I know this is one more "click" but, after selecting the two columns, command-click on the row number of the header to deselect that row. Now delete.

Or command click on each header cell to deselect them. Then delete

I started wondering what other methods could be used. Here are two more.

Select the cells in the row below the header then Command-Shift-Down Arrow to select those columns from there to the bottom.

Double click on a column letter to select only the body cells of that column (no headers or footers). Do this in the leftmost column you want selected then shift-right arrow to include columns to the right. This is the only one I know of so far that also preserves the footers, like if you had a SUM or COUNT or whatever in a footer row you wanted to keep.
