Apple news+ font too small

Finally got round to using Apple News+, and whilst I enjoy the application the fonts are way too small to read on my MacBook pro 13" screen.

So far I have been unable to increase the resolution, you can remove the navigation bar but not increase the font size.

Is it possible to increase the font size? or is it one size only ( which I guess is fine for some people )
