Spell Check no longer working on MacBook Pro

On my MacBook Pro, I no longer see any spelling mistakes. Even after enabling all spelling corrections in system preferences, it still does not work

Turn spell check back on after Grammarly Desktop turned it off Grammarly for Desktops turns off the red lines that macOS puts under mispelled words. If you uninstall Grammarly, it doesn't turn that system function back on, so now if I mispell a a word in somehting like the Mail app, there is no red line. It still seems to be spell checking, it's just not marking the words. I have spell check turned on in System Preferences>Keyboard. I have turned it on in all apps that allow you to do so, but still no red lines. How do I turn the red lines for mispelled words back on please?

Mac check spelling not working The "check spelling while typing" and "correct spelling automatically" options under "Edit"-"Spelling and Grammar" menu cannot be toggled on or off for my Notes, Mail and supposedly some other apps. Normally if I click one of the options, a tick should appear or disappear to the left of the option title. But apparently I cannot toggle on or off these two options for Notes and Mail app at all, i.e. when I click the options nothing would happen, and these two functions would not work for these two apps either. However the check spelling for Pages, Keynotes, Numbers etc and other apps would work normally, and can be toggled on and off. I tried restarting the apps, resetting autocorrect for the whole Mac in System Preferences, restarting the Mac, and tried some Terminal codes from the Internet, but none would work. Apparently I have not encountered a similar situation on the forum either. I'm on MacOS Monterey by the way. This problem has been there for like about a year already. Please help guys. Thanks.

How do I remove the red underlining spell check? 2021 Mac OS 11.2.1 Big Sur I tried going into Settings > Keyboard > Text > Uncheck "Correct Spelling Automatically" That one doesn't work for me at least. Anyone have any ideas?

It looks like you've had the chance to review the related article above.

Does this behavior occur with multiple apps?

Are you able to manually check the spelling using the steps in the first bullet of the “Check spelling and grammar” section of the following article? Check spelling and grammar on Mac

Is your MacBook Pro all up-to-date? Update macOS on Mac

Additionally, have you had the chance to restart your MacBook Pro since you noticed this behavior?

Hopefully those details will help further isolate this behavior.
