MacBook accessing internet, hacked?
why is my 2019 MacBook Pro showing on my router as having accessed the internet when not being used and not connected to a power source? Could it be hacked?
iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

The Mac reaches back all the time—
What is Power Nap on Mac? - Apple Support
Share your Mac resources when it's in sleep - Apple Support
Keep your Mac up to date - Apple Support

Apple uses its Software Update service as a mechanism for installing “background and critical” updates that are installed silently in the background with no notifications to the user.
—Make changes to your user preferences
—shut the mac down if you are concerned
