Regarding the automatic switching of AirPods Pro from iPhone to Mac

I am using iPhone 11(14.7) and MacBook Air with M1 chip(11.5). When the AirPods are being connected to Mac and when I play a music on my iPhone it automatically switches to iPhone but when I try to place iPhone side and play some music on Mac it doesn't automatically connect to it. I need to connect it manually by going to bluetooth setting or need to select the sound output to AirPods. Can I get the solution for the issue?

Are you signed in with the same Apple ID on both devices? On your iPhone, go to Settings > Your Name > Apple ID

On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Apple ID
