I have a newer model iphone. I just purchased new sd cards, micro sd cards and an adapter, and a new reader to attach to my iphone. I was able to save photos from my lap top to my cards, but my iphone is either not recognizing the cards or is not showing an option to IMPORT the photos on the cards. Any ideas how to fix? There is no "sidebar" in the iphone photo app.

The "If you don't see the import option" section also has some great information to assist with the behavior you're seeing.

Thank you for the tips, but nothing has resulted in Photos app showing an IMPORT or ANY option for action. There is NO sidebar in Photos. I have brand new and formatted SD cards and adapter for use with iphone, but nothing works. I have verified that my photos ARE on the SD cards waiting for import to iphone.

Thanks for following up and giving those steps a try. Were you also able to confirm that the SD cards being used are listed under the "Supported SD cards and image-transfer protocols" section of the link we shared previously?
Would you happen to have a different device that you can test the SD card and adapter with? If so, does the same issue occur?
