Originally I attempted to delete bootcamp from my MBP and it wouldn't erase from the disk. I am having trouble deciphering terminal because of inexperience and wanting to merge the partitions seems to be different for everyone. Just need a bit of assistance

You should have all your disk space back in APFS now.

Did you try to remove the Bootcamp partition via Disk Utility? If yes, that can cause issues. If BC Assistant failed, we can try and clean up.
From macOS Terminal post the output of
diskutil list
Can you post the output of

Run
diskutil apfs deleteVolume 6ED9C2CC-9D4F-43D7-AB5A-CAB389EE13A3

and reboot and post the output of
