After iOS 14.7 update CarPlay no longer works in my 2017 VW GTI S. Worked normally before update. Now when I connect phone it just says “Reading usb device” for a second or 2 and then disappears. Is there a setting that needs to be changed to restore this? Was there changes to CarPlay in 14.7 update?

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with Car Play and your GTI. It sounds like since the iOS 14.7 update, you aren't able to connect.

You may only need to change the USB cable. However, there is an IOS 14.7.1 update as of yesterday.
