F13-F19 Keys?
Just got a new iMac with the extended keyboard. Do the F13-F19 keys have a purpose? If not, can I program them myself? e.g. I'd love to use F13 for fn-F2 in Excel.

If you find you can't do what you want in the System/Keyboard/Shortcuts preference pane you can get much more elaborate by using a macro app like Keyboard Maestro and assigning one of the F keys to them.
In Excel F2 is "edit mode" for a cell on a WinPC. I was hoping to program F13 to do the same on a Mac, but as far as I can tell I can't add F13 thru F19 as Keyboard Shortcuts. I must use fn-F2 or ^U to get "edit mode" for a cell in Excel. Just seems very odd the Magic Keyboard w Numeric Keypad would have 7 keys with no purpose? I must be missing something.
There are many more economical macro apps available for all prices. Go to the App Store and search for "macro". I mentioned Keyboard Maestro as it's what I finally ended up with and consider the most powerful one. It may be more than you need. KM has a free demo version available that you can try.
So I have to buy a $36 third party app to use the F13 thru F19 keys on my Magic Keyboard? Seems very odd that they have no purpose by default within the Apple-Mac OS world?
