Automatic Photo Backup to Local Network Mac?

Hi folks. I've had about enough of paying Apple $10/mo for 2TB of iCloud storage when I only need a little over 200GB and they refuse for obvious reasons to have a 1TB option at maybe $5. I'm wondering if there is a way to have my iPhone(s) backup to a local Mac on my home network daily so I can store photo backups on my hardware and stop paying them for tons of extra storage I don't need. Help appreciated. Thanks.

You can sync over Wi-Fi if you use both your iPhone or other device on the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac: Sync content between your Mac and iPhone or iPad over Wi-Fi
