Does getting a replacement for a broken Apple product void Apple Care Plus?

I’m having an issue with my MacBook Air and it’s supposed to be dealt with in a few days but if it ends up needing to be replaced will that void my Apple Care Plus? I saw somewhere it might but that seems kind of absurd to me so I’m just checking

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.0

As far as I know, the coverage will automatically be moved to the replacement device until the term expires. That is what they did when they replaced my iPad Pro.
