Photos will not import to pc

Pc is not recognizing my iPhone se when I plug it in to usb- wanting to import photos

iphone 8 will not export photos to windows Since late December 2021 my W10 PC will not import photos from Iphone 8. It also says it doesn't recognize jpg.
