where is the applications folder after os big sur 11.5.1 installation

i'm thinking you're asking because the applications folder was on your dock before upgrading but disappeared after the upgrade. sometimes things can change after an upgrade. if that is what you're asking, all you need to do to re-add the folder to your dock is to open your finder and select applications from the sidebar, then hover over the word "applications" in the toolbar until the folder appears. then drag and drop the folder onto the dock.

It should remain in the same place as before the update installation. At least, it is after I updated a number of my Macs.
